For educators who care about young adolescents

Please ensure you read the information below before submitting an abstract.

The focus of the 10th International Conference for Adolescent Success 2017 is the specific needs of young adolescents (10-16 year olds). Adolescence is a critical time of life where young people are having to make new friends and connections regularly, they develop specific needs.

Adolescent Success believe that a middle schooling approach is best practice for young adolescents.  We believe that a holisitic and broad curriculum is essential in the middle years and this conference serves to celebrate the excellent teaching and learning which is happening in the middle years.

Some ideas for abstracts in each of the conference strands could include but are not limited to:

Abstracts should be a maximum of 300 words. Please indicate to which of the three conference streams your abstract best aligns. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference Committee and assessed for suitability in the program.

Successful presenters are required to register for the conference and must pay the appropriate registration fee ($AU700 discounted presenter rate) in order to ensure their abstract is included in the final program. The Conference Committee is unable to provide financial support to concurrent paper presenters with regards to flights, accommodation or other expenses relating to their participation in the conference.

You will also be asked to include a Biography for all Authors and Co-Authors. These should be a maximum of 1500 characters.

You will also be required to upload a ‘head and shoulders’ portrait Photo for programme purposes.


Closing date for abstract submission is  1 April 2017. Submission of abstracts will not be accepted after this date.
Authors will be notified of their success by 21 April 2017.
The deadline for presenting author registration is Friday, 28 May 2017
